I cant believe this is the middle of the week already. I thought I was going to do a better job at posting but I guess it will become a habit soon. My last post was kinda long. Once I get started, watch out.
Lets see, sunday I finished painting the shutters I had laying on the dining table. It was nice so I opened the windows, still a chance for rain, that is why I painted them indoors. I didnt do that much anyway because I had my shows to watch that evening. On sunday nites you dont bother me when I am watching my shows. My family knows not to call. LOL I watch Americas Funniest Videos, Exteme Home Makeover, Desperate Housewifes, Greys Anatomy, and then the British comedys Are You Being Served, Keeping Up Appearances, As Time Goes By, and Vicar of Dibley.
Monday there wasnt a chance of rain so I had a full day of work ahead of me. I couldnt mow because the grass was a little damp. So I put up the shutters. The windows needed a windowbox also. I needed some different screws for the shutters so I went to Lowes and picked up so screws and another windowbox for the kitchen window, potting mix for the boxes, and flowers. I can never leave there without spending a fortune. After putting the shutters and boxes up and planting the flowers it was time to mow the lawn. I was almost done with the mowing of the backyard when the mower decided to die. I needed two more swipes, looks good anyway. Trimmed around the yard with a weedeater, swept the sidewalks, driveway, and gutter. Damn it looked good. I had to get the yard work done because it was suppose to storm that nite. My yard is the best looking yard in the neighborhood. By looking at the other yards I can say that. Then it was time to get ready for work. It was a good nite at work. Usually it is really busy on mondays. I came home from work and it was lightning and thundering on the horizon, it was awesome, so I had a glass of wine and sat on the back step enjoying the nite time storm. My next project is to make a patio. Tuesday morning I got up early as usual to check and see if Jake was out there, I named the bird after my brother in law because he likes to fish. I havent seen the bird for nine days now, that is a good sign, I hope. I had my morning coffee cleaned house and made tuna fish salad. Then took a two hour nap before work. Couldnt work outside because it was too wet. We have had alot of storms lately, which is good. We were in a burn ban for several months. I couldnt even burn the tiki torches. I think we have gotten seven inches of rain in two weeks. It hasnt been bad. You just got to mow inbetween storms. Work was fine. Lots of drama with a co worker and his wife. Me and another co worker had to sneek him out of the building because his wife was stalking him. She called the office probably sixty times last nite. She is psycho. I think they are getting a divorce. When I came home it was lightning and thundering again. Again I got a glass of wine and sat on the step enjoying the light show. It was beautiful. Today I checked on the pond, filled the bird feeders, and picked up limbs from the storm and had some coffee and played with the cats. They are so funny. Smokey was a little wired this morning. He was everywhere and into everything. Then I got ready to go to the funeral home to visit a friend. She was a great lady. I have known her for twenty seven years. We sent cards to each other on special occasions and holidays. She had a birthday the twenty fourth of April, the same day as Barbra's. I called her Sweetums. She loved lavender and butterflies. She was so sweet, I will miss her. When I saw her she was wearing a chiffon lavender dress with her butterfly brooch. She was beautiful. They could have done her nails a little better, but they were fine. The casket was a dark walnut. It was beautiful. Lots of flowers and butterflies. I left there with a tear for my wonderful friend. You will be missed.
So now I am sitting here and ready for work. Time flies when your having fun.
