Stay in bed...

I should have known it was going to be one of those days I should have stayed in bed. I worked late, because there were problems. The alarm went off this morning so I could check to see if Jake was there. I kept pushing the snooze button and check the pond. I did this for two hours.

A friend at work had a birthday today so I needed to go and get something. I knew a card, a gift card, and some flowers would be the perfect choice. While I was walking out the door my sisters showed up. They wanted to go and eat lunch. Well it was too early for lunch for me. So I told them I had some errands to run and they said ok. We ran to Rib Crib to get a gift card first. They werent open yet, and I couldnt wait. Well they werent getting my business today. My sister needed some dog food so we stopped and picked it up and then off to Hallmark for a birthday card. I couldnt find the right card but I found one that came close to what I wanted. Also got my mom a bear and another mothers day card in case she came home sunday. I already mailed her a card but if I see her I will have a card. She sort of lives out of town. My sister thought a gift card from Bath and Body Works would be good for the birthday girl. I agreed and picked one up there. Floral Creations was next door so I picked up some fresh flowers in a basket. So far so good. I took them to her place of work and she wasnt there, she was home sick. She is thirty seven and found out she is four months pregnant. She didnt think she could get pregnant so she had adopted six children. The family was thrilled that she was pregnant. Ok back to lunch. So my sisters and I decided it was time to eat. We went to Peppers and had a great lunch. My sisters wanted to do some more shopping but I wasnt in the mood. I came home and called my friend to see if she was ok. She was ok, just sinus allergies. I told her I brought some items to her work place for her birthday, she was so happy. But she wouldnt be back at work till monday. She told me she would have her husband stop by the house and pick them up on his way home from work. Ok today wasnt that bad, but still it should have started out a little better than it did.

I finished watering the window boxes, picked up limbs from the last storm, and played with the cats. And shortly I will go and get ready for work. It has been a beautiful day, a little chilly for May, but still nice. We dont have any rain in the forecast for couple of days. Gives us a chance to dry out. The lakes are back up to normal finally. Its going to be a great summer at the lake this year. Someone is at the door...
