Last week came and went with nothing exciting except for friday nite at work. I was talking with two co workers before they left and the lights went out. The emergency lights came on and then the generator. But something was not right. The overhead lights were still off and my pc was out. We went outside and found out the whole city was without electric. It was creepy and exciting at the same time. The cars were stopping at traffic lights like normal but there were no lights. It seemed like everyone was out and about. Side streets were jammed packed with cars. I went back inside and called someone about the generator. I needed to get to work. I told the person that the overhead lights were off and so was my pc but the generator was running. He said I think we have a problem and I will be there asap. When he got there we checked the mechanical room for a problem. On the last test someone didnt switch back the generator to normal. Well, we got that fixed and I was back in business. The city was probably out for about an hour. It was cool.
Well summer is upon us. It has been really warm and it seems it will be here all next week. I havent turned on my a/c yet. I am use to warm air so I think I will wait. I met two of my neighbors last friday. The lady across the street was admiring my yard and the lady next door told me I could come in and clean her house since I was sweeping the curb. LOL. I love a clean curb. Last nite I was sitting outside enjoying the nite and the man across the street was walking his dog. He is a strange little man. He was running down is driveway to my driveway and walked into my yard. Lord and behold he was letting his frickin dog piss on my landscaping. I controlled myself, because he is an old man, didnt want to be accused of murder from him having a heartattack when I yell at him. I will talk with him later when I calm down.
Speaking of heartattacks. My dad has been gone four years last friday. He had a massive heartattack. I sure do miss him. There are times when I am working on the house when I wish he was here to help me. I really could use his expertise. You really dont miss something till it is gone. Love you Dad...
