Where does the time go...

Where does the time go. Seems like I was on here yesterday but it has been months. Summer is upon us and its not that bad. Well we did get alot of rain in June. I think it has helped alot getting rid of the drought. At least I didnt have to water as much. But those pesky mosquitos are out with a vengeance. O well, Fall will be here before you know it. Here are some pics I have taken this summer.I saw this gypsy moth on a plant next to the front door.

The canna is located in the backyard and the dragonfly was in my pond.

The lily in the pond had several blooms this year and this is one of them. Everyone have a wonderful summer and I will see you later.

Lightning, Thunder, and Rain...

Well, I thought I was going to work in the yard this morning but the weather changed that. The storms last night just missed us. The weather man said, last night on the news, we wouldnt get any thunderstorms until tomorrow evening. I woke up in the middle of the night to lightning and thunder, and the rain came pouring down. The temp yesterday was almost 90 degrees. This morning with the rain cooled air, it was 63 degrees. So far my rain gauge reads 2 and half inches. We were in a flood warning. It looks like I have a lake in my backyard. The pond in the front yard has so much water in it, I am hoping my fish didnt swim away. It has stopped raining for now. If the clouds part and the temp rises we may have some severe thunderstorms this evening.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the people of Greensburg and the other towns that had tornados.

Its been so long...

Man, I cant believe it has been so long since my last blog. Of course not much has changed. I did get a vacation a month ago and wouldnt you know it, I had sinus problems, it was cold and rainy outside. So, I didnt get to do what I wanted to get done.

I have made progress tho. I can get my truck in the garage now. I have cleaned things out. I have gotten rid of things I hadnt touched in two years or maybe one. My sister wants to have a garage sale when she gets back from Vegas. So I giving all the merchandise (crap) to her. I have never considered myself a packrat but after going thru this stuff, I think I was. I always kept something in case I will use it again or have it handy. Not again.

The weather lately has been stormy. Not here, just around us. I want to see some good storms. Earlier when everything had budded out, we had a hard freeze. My Japanese Maple took a hard hit. It was sad, but I think it will come out of it. The Crepe Myrtles really looked bad. And the fescue loved it. It looks good.

Well Dudes, I guess that will be it for now.
